SHIVA LINGA
Shiva is most often worshipped in the form of Shiva Linga. Linga has many meanings including: the image of god, a spot, a sign, a proof, and the male sex organ. (picture by Yosarian from Wikipedia Commons)
This video from monsieurck shows the ritual cleaning of the LINGA with curd and milk while chanting mantras.
Hindu art often reflects the four goals of life on earth: dharma - righteous living, artha - wealth aquired through a profession, kama - human sexual love, and moksha - spiritual salvation.
